Around 15,000 pupils, students, employees & the self-employed, as well as the unemployed, are fulfilling their dream of flying in the clubs. Air sports are “lifetime” sports & must be carried out into old age. Club life connects generations.
The life of the association is based on voluntary work in various areas: flight instructors, workshop managers & trainers make their creative power available to the association free of charge. The members make enormous efforts to preserve the association’s assets.

The young pilots are integrated into club life with great care . Young members learn to get involved in a community & to realize themselves by living together with their adult club mates. Flight operations are based on mutual trust. Air sports offer a wide range of character training & thus represent an important level of socialization.
