AeroSPARX are the only team in the world to combine Formation flying, Aerobatics & night time pyro!

We are an aerobatic stunt display team who have brightened up airshows across the world with our smooth, graceful manoeuvres & quality formation flying. Perhaps best known for their stunning pyrotechnics. AeroSPARX have been dazzling audiences with their remarkable demonstrations as far afield as Saudi Arabia & New Zealand.

Established in 2015, pilots Guy Westgate & Rob Barsby, regularly take to the skies in their Grob109b motor gliders. By day, they perform a formation flying display with aerial acrobatics, while at night they quite literally shine with their unique pyro fireworks display.

Based in the UK, AeroSPARX have had a busy few years captivating audiences across Europe, Asia & New Zeal&, with many more fascinating locations lined up for the future.

There are hundreds of flying display acts world wide, but only about 200 formation teams. Only half of these perform formation aerobatics & only 6 of these teams fly with pyro…. only 1 team does it all at night – AerosSPARX are globally unique!

Aerobatic Stunt Display Team:
The Aerosparx team have revolutionised the event world combining formation aerobatics with night time pyrotechnics! Aerosparx are the original market leaders in airborne pyrotechnics, & keep ahead by constantly pioneering new & exciting innovations in our display! We paint with light – to leave a remarkable picture in the night sky for your event – from intimate weddings to the biggest National celebrations.

Fly-AeroSPARX – Learning through fun based aviation activity. Our aim is to help you learn & develop in a safe & nurturing environment whilst having fun. From half-day to 5 day courses, the following are available (plus bespoke courses):

Loop the Loop Charity Challenge:
AeroSPARX offer a once in a life time opportunity to experience the airshow world from the pilots seat to help raise funds in support of a good cause. PLUS for the chosen charities you will have a day out treasure for life & be taken up with the display pilots. You will get to experience a adrenaline fuelled adventure & maybe loop for loop for yourself, experience the cockpit & get the feel for it yourself, whilst being filmed for unique PR & social media content.

Aviation Photography:
From ground based photography of aircraft to air-to-air photography we run our courses to teach, advise & practical experiences doing it, all from a unique perspective. You will have the chance to fly in an aircraft with AeroSPARX & take pictures that will stun your friends & colleagues.

Formation Flying:
Fly in close formation with our highly experienced coaches who will ensure your experience is both safe & fun! Safety is number one! So at the start of your course we’ll be looking at formation positions, breaks, rejoins, loose formation emergencies & communication.

Flight Development & Coaching:
No-one likes surprise – we can’t stop the surprise but we can help prepare you to react appropriately (TEM, Recognising what’s wrong, Handling conference, Time critical event training & decision making & Human factors). We train you in both traditional areas for your licence or revalidation, but also pass on our wealth of experience & learning of “soft skill” areas like Pilot Competencies, CRM & Human Factors.

Aerobatics:
Aerobatics isn’t only about pulling 10’g’ in competition & flying a perfectly round loop – Its also a great way to improve your everyday flying. We will guide you through advanced flight planning & Threat & Error Management (TEM), Human Factors & aerodynamic theory. In the aircraft we will show everything, from UPRT, upset recovery, handling techniques & the aerobatic manoeuvres all the way to Unlimited (in the appropriate gliders). The aim is to upskill you, & give you improved confidence.

Confidence Building:
Whether you want to fly to somewhere new in the UK or abroad we are here to help you build confidence by having our mentor or safety pilot to guide you through the experience. International borders, Post Brexit custom requirements, flight planning, sea crossings, mountain flying, navigation considerations, weather are planning for a diversion or that flying road trip you have always dreamed off?

Human Factors:
The study of human factors involves applying scientific knowledge about the human body & mind to help understand our human capabilities & limitations evolved from our ancestors. This knowledge can then be used to reduce the likelihood of errors & build a more error tolerant experience. Fly-AeroSPARX has teamed up with an expert RAF Human Factors instructor & Examiner* to deliver effective human factors briefings that are at the very heart of every flight with AeroSPARX.
