Ascend Aviation was established by Maartin Steenkamp in early 2014.

Maartin Steenkamp Ascend AviationMaartin holds a B.Proc law degree & has logged 20 years of experience in aircraft sales, during which time he also held a commercial pilot’s license.
For the past several years he has been Sales Director of the Cessna agent for Southern Africa. He has sold a wide variety of new & pre-owned aircraft types to private & corporate clients. These have ranged from Cessna piston aircraft & all makes of turbine aircraft, to the full range of business jets, worldwide.

Pierre Kieser Ascend AviationPierre was born in Cape Town & matriculated at “Affies” in Pretoria.
After completing his military training in the SAAF, he joined a sales company, Bon Air, at Wonderboom Airport.
In 1981, he was offered an opportunity at National Airways Corporation & remained there until the compulsory retirement age.
A 3-year stint followed with Money Aviation, before joining Ascend Aviation in October 2017.
Pierre is well known in the industry & has more than 40 years of experience. Pierre believes sales is about building customer relations, providing the correct product & good service. He is married with 2 children & has a keen interest in sport.

 

Marlo Kruyswijk Ascend AviationMarlo Kruyswijk graduated with a degree in Economics & International Trade from the North West University, Potchefstroom.
Shortly after graduation, he completed his frozen Airline Transport Licence with a certified instructor endorsement. His love for flying & instruction stretches far & wide, where he has worked with several nationalities, including the Middle East & India. He currently holds 9 years of flying experience as a pilot.
His role at Ascend Aviation is mainly focused on sales & marketing. He believes that passion for aviation & building lasting relations with clients is key to this industry.

 

 

Christian Nellus Ascend AviationChristian Nellus graduated with a degree in Business Economics from the University of Dalarna, Sweden. For the past five years, he has worked in corporate, dealing with Fortune 500 companies & global emerging markets.
In addition, he holds a commercial pilot’s license & is passionate about the aviation industry.
His role at Ascend Aviation is to assist clients in making the most profitable investments, maximising their return & guiding clients through the sales process while upholding the ethos of the company: delivering the finest service excellence, industry expertise, personal attention to detail, & integrity.
