Capable of transforming between various camera mount setups within minutes, our 4×4 AviaEye Jeep Wrangler is an easy solution for both big and low-budget productions.

Survey & Mapping

The use of various drone systems for the purpose of industrial surveying and mapping is fast becoming the most widely-used commercial RPAS application area. Unmanned aerial vehicles have proved to be efficient in environmental assessments, construction, architecture and industry to carry out risky site surveys for consultants, planners and administrators.

Real estate is one field where aerial photography and cinematography services provided a whole new level of imagination to you and your customers. With our high altitude licensing you no longer require satellite images to show off the size and features of the property; our images and videos will do that for you. Research

The use of remotely piloted systems for research and wildlife surveying has over the years proved to offer the best and safest way to study our marine and terrestrial wildlife with the least amount of impact. We are proud to have been a member and supporter of scientist and researchers for the last four years.

Ground School

In order to fly legally in Canada, drone pilots need to pass a Transport Canada exam and obtain their Pilot Certificate. Our course works in compliance with the Transport Canada document: TP 15263 – Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (RPAS) 25kg or less, Operating within Visual Line of Sight. In addition to this test, you will need to take our flight preparation course. The course will cover the following:
-Introduction to RPAS Systems
-Canadian Aviation Regulations
-Aerodynamics and Theory of Flight
-RPAS Airframes, engines and systems
-Airspace and Operations
-Meteorology
-Navigation
-Radio and Electronic Theory

Flight School

Prepare for your in-person flight review with any flight reviewer in Canada with this online study course. This course will offer you a fun and visual guide to your flight review increasing your chance of success. Please note that this course is mandatory when booking a flight review with us. The course will cover the following:
-Site review and Identification
-Pre Flight Checklist
-Takeoff Procedures
-Manual Flight
-Fly away Procedures
-Lost Link Procedures
-Emergency Procedures

Flight Review

Once you have completed your flight review prep course, we will be delighted to meet with you at your designated flight location and help you get your RPAS career underway. To view the times and days we offer, please look below. AviaEye is pleased to be the only company in the lower mainland offering RPAS flight reviews on the weekends in order to work with your busy schedule. AviaEye offers the following dates:
-Saturday: 10.00am, 12.00am, 2.00pm, 4.00pm
-Sunday: 10.00am, 12.00am, 2.00pm, 4.00pm

In-Person Training

For our students wishing to expand their flying knowledge and learn firsthand what it takes to fly a drone safely and legally in Canada, we are pleased to offer a service which is unique in our industry and to the lower mainland. Our in person training will help you better grasp the logistics that go into pre-flight planning as well as the technical aspects of flight. This course is perfect for those who have just purchased their first drone as well as those looking into upgrading their skills and knowledge to a more professional flying career.

Adult training courses will be held at 12.00 pm PST and are limited to 2 students
Catered specifically for beginner and intermediate drone pilots this course will cover:
-sit down breakdown of your site survey, airspace and safety
-Familiarisation of your drone capabilities and functions
-A review and in person lesson of your flying capabilities

Kids training courses will be held at 12.00 pm PST and are limited to 3 students
Aimed specifically at getting your kids more familiar with their new toy and hobby this course is designed to expand your kids’ drone knowledge and safety. Ideal for kids 10+ this course will cover the basics of flight, the safety measures which they should learn to practice and of course the fun of actually being able to fly their drones in a safe and controlled environment with expert pilots.
