Some similar fixed based simulators are charging more than double our prices. We offer complimentary Tea, Coffee & Chilled Juice. Due to the nature of flight simulator bookings, we operate under variable hours to accommodate your needs wherever possible. At Britannia flight simulator experience we show people of all ages how to become a pilot through flight instruction & tuition. Our Boeing 737 experience is also suitable & available to children, families & groups who wish to have fun & have a once in a lifetime experience. With over 20000 airports to choose from, you can decide to fly in & out of almost anywhere in the world!
The enhanced software means you can see cars & trucks on the roads, going to from the airport you are landing at. It gets so exciting at times, particularly flying into Leeds Bradford Airport with gale force winds or flying over Canary Wharf & Big Ben in London.

We also provide the simulator for hire for trainee, professional & retired pilots wishing to brush up their skills. With the full glass cockpit, 4k surround resolution viewing, flight management system & automatic flight director system , overhead systems & audio pedestal systems you can practice all areas of preparation training & real life flying. As the simulator has control loading / flight feel, you will be able to practice any scenario & feel the condition of the aircraft at all times. You may fancy doing a `SULLY` bird strike emergency landing or a recovery from a stall. The simulator has been constructed by ourselves to the highest standard, with the state of the art powerful computers & graphics cards & has been meticulously tested to ensure constant accurate flight feel & reliability. At Britannia Flight Simulator we are used to a varied pilot experience, & our tutor have exposure to this on a daily basis & will adapt to your needs. Pre flight briefings & debriefs are standard for the less experience pilot if they wish to have them, inexperienced or experienced pilots may just want to be left alone with the simulator to do as they wish with different scenarios & emergencies at the click of a button. The simulator itself might not move, but for the aviation enthusiast among us, this realistic flight simulator has a real throttle quadrant with speed brake, reverse thrust levers & flaps, fully functioning PFDs & NFDs (that’s Primary & Navigational Flight Displays), hydraulics, electrics, APU (that’s the Auxiliary Power Unit), bleed air, oxygen & pressurisation systems. Oh & then there’s the fully working FMC (Flight Management Computer) & MCP (that’s the autopilot).

Indeed, stepping up to the flight deck & into the left h& captain’s seat, if you ever thought pilot’s had a easy life with their feet up whilst the autopilot did all the hard work, think again. As the precious cargo of passengers are boarding, the captain & first officer are busy doing route briefings, entering the data into the Flight Management Computer & executing a pre-flight checklist.
On the longer experiences (2hours & above) you will follow those airline Standard Operating Procedures (yes, you guessed it – SOPs!). That means you get to do all those critical checks & controls before you ‘take off’ & again when you have completed your landing checks & given the cabin crew the ‘doors to arrival & crosscheck’ command. You get a complete insight into what a typical ‘day at the office for a Boeing driver’ involves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I operate the simulator on my own?
A: Yes! The 737 normally has two pilots but like me once I am trained on the controls I like to be left alone & enjoy the experience on myself or with a companion. This option is cheaper than having a tutor with you.

Q: How much time should I book?
A: Nothing can be achieved in less than one hour. Which is why this is the min booking period. We would discuss what you are trying to achieve from the session prior to booking & can advise. If it is an introductory flight, then a 1hr session would be enough. If it is a training flight anything from 1hr to several. It is possible with longer booking to build in breaks without penalty of losing time in the simulator.

Q: How many people are allowed per booking?
A: Normally two but more by prior arrangement (if required). The 737 simulator capacity is, two pilots, one pilot seat (YOURS) & one operator/instructor seat or companion if you do not require any guidance/tuition or support. Seats are provided outside the simulator.

Q: Does the simulator have a visual / outside view?
A: Yes. The 737 flight simulator has a collimated display, with x3 4k 50” Monitors surrounding the simulator giving forward & side views. It offers exceptional 4k realism.

Q: What if I have no flying experience?
A: Not a problem. We offer introductory flights with tuition for customers with an interest in aviation.

Q: How do I cancel a booking?
A: This is only possible 48hrs in advance. We’ve laid out our terms & conditions on the bookings page so please read these before making a booking.

Terms & ConditionsPurchasing a gift voucherFlight vouchers are valid for 18 calendar months from the date of purchase and are not redeemable for any other service or value. Flight vouchers are fully transferable between persons and can be upgraded to a higher package at the time of booking your flight experience. Gift Cards are non Refundable.Customers who purchase the 5hr or 10hr courses at full price (not sale price) can cancel within 1 month of purchase but will incur a 25% administration fee charge from the price paid.Voucher expiry dateFlight simulator vouchers must be booked and completed prior to the expiry date. As of 1st November 2021 all vouchers purchased have an expiry date of 18 months from date of purchase. Beyond this date the voucher will cease to be valid. If your gift voucher is due to expire and you are unable to find a suitable date in the diary within the expiry date you can extend your voucher expiry date for a further 3 months for a fee of £35.Restrictions on participationThese terms and conditions are applicable to all customers using Britannia Flight Simulator services. Please read and understand them carefully before purchasing a voucher, making a booking or redeeming a pre-purchased voucher. Flight Simulator Experiences involve a degree of physical mobility and may not be suitable for some people. Please check with us at the time of booking if you have any concerns. In all cases, all participants will be supervised by a Flight Instructor who will be seated in the right hand seat, unless your using self hire. All participants must: be 7 years of age or older; be supervised by an adult if under the age of 18; be in good health and free from heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by the simulator.; be dressed appropriately in comfortable clothing and flat shoes; not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.PricesPrices displayed on our website are correct to the best of our knowledge and are the most up-to-date. Prices advertised in leaflets and magazines may differ to prices on the website depending upon the date of the publication. We reserve the right to honour the prices advertised in publications other than those listed on our website.GuestsAll participants are permitted to bring guests to share their Flight experience. Children under the age of 12 should be supervised by a non-flying adult.Cancellations and rescheduling an appointmentIf you have a booking in the diary you are required to give 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or change the booking or the gift voucher becomes void.Please note that strictly no refunds are offered for the following: All Gift Cards, flight simulator experiences and virtual type rating courses which are offered in a sale by Britannia Flight Simulator. Vouchers purchased through third party suppliers. Technical faults – another day will be organised for you, if postponed on the day we usually offer additional time free of charge. Instructor illness – whilst we will en-devour to find a replacement instructor this is not always possible, you will then be offered another date. Unusual Crisis, unusual weather or act of god – In exceptional circumstances it may be necessary to postpone bookings en-mass, under these circumstances, and once the crisis has passed, another date will be offered. However for any delay beyond 7 days we will freeze the validity date and extend it for the same amount of time as the business is closed.Simulator availability If Britannia Flight Simulator is unable to provide a booked Flight Simulator session due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to simulator failure, we will do our up most to offer participants a different date subject to Britannia Flight Simulators discretion. If the Flight Simulator experience is reduced in whole or in part due to late arrival, motion sickness or toilet breaks, Britannia Flight Simulator will not reschedule the flight or provide a refund for time not used in the Simulator. If there are technical problems with the simulator that the instructor feels significantly reduce the quality and duration of the experience than the participant will have their time in the simulator increased or offered an alternative date to complete their flight. By purchasing or redeeming a gift voucher, you acknowledge that the simulator session is dependent on certain factors beyond the control of Britannia Flight Simulator and agree that Britannia Flight Simulator shall not be liable for the cancellation, postponement or alteration of any simulator session for reasons beyond our reasonable control including for weather-related reasons, mechanical failure, location changes or otherwise. The total liability of Britannia Flight Simulator for any claim what so ever in connection with the simulator session shall be limited to the price paid for the gift voucher.DVD or Camera MalfunctionWe take every possible measure to ensure all our critical equipment is kept serviceable which includes our filming and DVD production facility. However from time to time this equipment does malfunction and whilst we understand this may be extremely frustrating, this will not stop us from being able to provide you with a complete flight simulator experience. Therefore if upon arrival you find the DVD facility to be inoperable we will provide a refund for only the DVD or photograph, you will not be offered a refund on the actual flight simulator experience or other ad-ons that you might have purchased, neither will we rebook the session for another day. However, a full refund for the full price of the DVD or photo will be provided.Inclusivity We welcome the participation of disabled people in our simulators, though we recognise that certain disabilities may present difficulties. We will inform of any particular difficulties to the best of our knowledge at time of enquiry. We are committed to ensuring that disabled customers are given every opportunity to participate, so we ask that you tell us about any relevant disability at the time of enquiry. This enables us to do our best to meet the participant’s particular needs. We will be happy to provide information about any disabled facilities on request.Complaints We welcome your feedback. If you have a problem, issue, query or complaint during your visit, please bring it to our attention on the day as soon as possible, so that we have a chance to put matters right. If your problem is not resolved on the day, please contact our Customer Service department, stating your voucher reference, participant name and all booking details, and we will be happy to look in to the matter.
