DYNON AVIONICS

Founded in 2000 as a project of a semiconductor entrepreneur & pilot, Dynon has grown to become the leader in light aircraft avionics. We originally started to research how inexpensive AOA indicators could improve aviation safety. That initial effort quickly expanded into the original affordable EFIS – that indeed included built-in AOA capabilities – that we first brought to market in 2003. Since then, Dynon’s grown to offer a full range of glass cockpit avionics safety-enhancing products for pilots.

In 2000 – frustrated with the lack of affordable modern avionics for sport aircraft – we decided to do something about it. The result? Dynon led a sea change in modern GA aircraft avionics, equipping over 20,000 sport aircraft owners that previously couldn’t imagine an affordable glass cockpit.

We are the avionics company for light aircraft. It’s all we do. We constantly innovate & firmly stand behind our products with the industry’s best support.
We move quickly with constant innovation, but we also believe in building product lines that stand the test of time. The first SkyView ADAHRS ever shipped is fully compatible with the latest SkyView HDX & Advanced AF-6000 series displays. The EFIS-D10A we first made a decade ago is still supported today, & is now installed in type certificated aircraft alongside SkyView HDX.

Services

We design, engineer, build, & support our products in Woodinville, Washington & Canby, Oregon. Half of Dynon Avionics’ staff is manufacturing – working in those same US offices – because building our products in-house is the most effective way to control quality & cost.
For those that want the fastest path to flight, we now offer complete “AdvancedPanels” through our Advanced Flight Systems division. These complete avionics panel solutions are professionally engineered, fully assembled, tested, configured, & ready to install in your aircraft. Dynon has created mounting systems that dramatically reduce the time it takes to install SkyView electronic modules. Simply fasten these Dynon’s prefabricated mounting devices to your airplane, then fasten the SkyView modules using the pre-installed nut plates.

Meet the D3 – the newest edition of Dynon’s popular Pocket Panel. Now featuring Synthetic Vision, the D3 Dynon Pocket Panel lets pilots supplement their often unreliable legacy instrumentation with an affordable, portable electronic attitude indicator. Both of the included cockpit mounting options require no tools, allowing the D3 to be deployed in any aircraft without regulatory approval.
