Description

G-DEXA

The club currently has 3 two seater aircraft, 2 single seater aircraft, 1 motor glider and 1 tug aircraft. In addition to it’s own air fleet, TVGC has a range of vehicles for both towing and retrieving gliders alongside a winch and tractor.  A number of club members fly their own aircraft and TVGC is able to offer hangarage and trailer storage for gliders.

The German built Grob Acro II is Trent Valley Gliding Club’s main training aircraft, favoured for its pleasant handling, roomy cockpit and good performance. This design of aircraft once held the world “out and return” glider distance record of 1000.88km. Our particular glider spent a number of years with the air cadets before being purchased by the club in 2001.
