Learning to fly is one of the most rewarding goals you can achieve in life, and is certainly within the reach of most people. If you or a loved one have an interest in aviation, or maybe are looking for a whole new challenge, a trial flying lesson in one of our modern Cessna 172 Skyhawks is the perfect answer.

For most people, the trial lesson is the beginning of a very exciting and rewarding journey to achieving the ultimate goal of pilots licence. For others, the thrill of taking the controls of a light aircraft is an experience which will be hard to forget.

Your trial flying lesson will begin with a short classroom briefing before the flight, where you will learn the basic controls of the aircraft. Then, once in the aircraft you and your instructor will take off from the main runway at Leeds Bradford Airport, and after climbing to a safe height you will be given the opportunity to take the controls of the aircraft for the very first time.

The flight itself will last for around 40 minutes, during which time you will experience each phase of the whole flight from the left hand (captain’s) seat. On completion, you will be awarded a certificate, and you will be able to log your flight time in your pilot’s logbook, should you wish to continue your training in the future.
