UL Helicharter

U-Helicharter was founded in 2019 as a community of interest.
UL pilots & interested UL heli pilots should be able to get into helicopters flying as cheaply as possible.
Over the last few years the number of members has increased, which is proof that the interest in ultralight heli-flying is quite decent.

The actual & most important goal was always to develop or find a helicopter that would meet the requirements of a pilot. It’s not or wasn’t that easy.

In recent years we have repeatedly bought a helicopter, tried it out, flown it for a while & then sold it again.
You really can’t get to know a helicopter just by taking a short test flight.

You have to spend a certain amount of time with it & fly again & again to really get an objective picture.

The “fun” also costs a lot of money, but there is no other way to gain experience.

There is hardly a manufacturer or UL heli that we have not at least visited & flown for a test.
All in all, it was a very instructive time.

If you are then also “infected” with the R22, it’s even harder because you’re always comparing it with the 22.

But one thing I know for sure now: finding a heli in the price range between 50 & 100,000 that has the quality of a 22 is simply not possible. You have to dig a little deeper into your pocket.

We really worked a lot. Conducted market research, researched, questioned flight schools, etc.
& if you look at the result, everything looks pretty sober.

A die-hard flight school that has been training on their Hughes300, R44, R22, Cabri etc. for many years,
you won’t lure them off the sofa very easily with an ultralight heli. Which is basically understandable. Everything has worked well over the years.
