Restoration project with very complete and stock cockpits, canopy in good condition, cold ejection seats, wing pylons, miscellaneous extra parts, stands and cradles, aircraft manuals and microfiche. Restoration work has been carried out on the fuselage, wings, empennage, control surfaces and one main gear assembly.
Description
Airframe
Paint stripping and minor repair to the fuselage, wings, empennage and control surfaces.
One wing assembly rebuilt, the other wing still needs to be done. Work completed includes reskinning the bottom of the wing from flak damage, leading edge metal work repair, flap repairs, replacement of ½ of the main spar and installation of never used 1968 fuel tanks with all associated hoses, fittings and related components. The tanks have been pressure tested.
Control surfaces, flaps, ailerons and elevators were sent to Alamo Aircraft in San Antonio, TX and have been repaired and rebuilt.

New access panels fabricated in gear well bay 2, bay 3 and bay 5.
Engines
Original J-85-17 engines included without records and therefore not usable. A pair of GE CJ-610 engines are also included. These are the civil version of the J-85. The engines have been inspected by a repair shop and there was an estimate of $110,000 to return them to service.

Maintenance
One main gear assembly rebuilt, including replacement of pins, bushings, bolts and related components. A replacement seal still needs to be sourced. The gear assembly has been repainted.
The other main gear and wing require work similar to that already completed. The nose gear needs to be rebuilt.
