Open Days At Hooton Park Hangars
We are open to the public on our monthly Open Days, for Pre-arranged Visits & during the nationwide Annual Heritage Days.
Description
Things to See & Do
Aircraft
We have a wonderful range of aircraft on display & you can learn more about some of them by pointing your smartphone at the QR code alongside.
Chester Tram
Our dedicated team of enthusiastic volunteers is also restoring an old tram that used to operate in Chester. Come & see how the work is going &, if you like, ask about getting involved in this historic work.
Other Historic Vehicles
Our site is home to a number of other historic vehicles, including cars, buses & bicycles. Learn more about each one during your visit by pointing your smartphone at the QR code alongside each one.
Guided Tours
During Open Days, at 1pm (times subject to change), you can join a free tour of the site that tells you the history of the hangars – but keep an ear open for the Air Raid siren! But don’t worry – we have a shelter where you can take safe refuge (restrictions apply).
Merchandise
We now have a range of Hooton Park Hangars merchandise in the Reception area to buy to show your support.
Models & Books
We have a wide selection of models, kits & books on sale at very reasonable prices – see our display in the Reception.
