1st July: Sunset Loads

UK Parachuting July 2022 Update sunset loads

Beccles had another glorious evening for the sunset loads on Wednesday. 14 tandems, a few club jumpers & some AFF qualifications (get the beers in!)…. if you want to come along to the next one, it will be the last Wednesday of July it is a great time of day to fall from the sky.

If you require coaching or want to do some AFF levels then please let Mark know or book with a group of friends/colleagues for tandem skydive.

5th July: Flight-1 101 & 102 Course

UK Parachuting July 2022 Update flight1 101 102 course

A great weekend was had at Beccles last weekend with Paul Dorward’s Flight-1 101/102 courses. Fantastic fun was had & great progress made on canopy skills & knowledge. There are a couple more courses coming up at Beccles & Sibson this season & the skills you will learn are invaluable to the keen skydiver, so get yourself booked on a course now! Big thanks to Paul!

20th July: 100th Jump

UK Parachuting July 2022 Update 100th jump

The trouble with a jump pilot that skydives, is they are always itching to get in the back of the aircraft. Sibsons resident pilot Delfina has been skydiving for a couple of years now & last weekend managed to get in the back of the plane to do her 100th skydive with a few of her friends. Thankfully we have Dragos on hand to take over the front end! Congratulations Delfina!

20th July: Beach Jumps At Kessingland Beach

UK Parachuting July 2022 Update Beach Jumps At Kessingland Beach

On Sunday 10 July 22, 28 skydivers took off from Beccles Airfield & landed onto Kessingland Beach, on the stunning Suffolk coast. The demo was organised by the Wings Parachute Display Team & CI Mark King. It was quite a spectacle for the locals & holiday makers at the seaside that day with flags, smoke & 28 parachutes in the sky. We would like to say a massive thanks to the East Suffolk Council for granting permission & the RNLI for being on standby in case anyone landed off (in the sea!). We hope this can become a yearly event. Well done & thank you to all involved in making it happen.
