Airways Airsports is run by pilots who are committed to sharing their love of flying with anyone wanting to learn to paraglide, hang glide, paramotor or microlight. Our instructors range from a three-times World Champion, World Record holders, British Cross Country Champion, British Distance Record Holder, Royal Aeroclub Gold Medal winner and former members of the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Teams.

Airways Airsports has been featured many times on television. We were chosen to teach Blue Peter presenter, Matt Baker, to fly. We flew with him on his successful Tandem World Record breaking hang gliding flight.
We also taught a second Blue Peter presenter, Joel Delfries, to fly in Spring 2010 and then went on to feature in Caties Amazing Machines in 2018 and the second series Gracies Amazing Machines as aired on CBeebies 2019.

Airways Airsports gives you the opportunity to experience the joy of flight, whether you want a day-out to remember or want to learn to fly with the experts.
We offer the following airsports, Paragliding, Hang gliding, Paramotoring, Microlighting (in flex-wing and sports light aircraft) and kiting and kite surfing. We are a Flight School with over 20 years of experience.
PARAGLIDING

PARAMOTORING
Learn to Paramotor in Derbyshire and the Midlands – it has never been easier. Our one day paramotor course is aimed at people who want to try out the exciting sport of paramotoring.
KITING
Power Kiting and kite surfing are two of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and you can now start your training at our land-based school here in Derbyshire
MICROLIGHTING
The flex-wing microlight is what most people think of when the talking about microlights. Our pilots will help you to soar above the Derbyshire hills.
SPORTS LIGHT
They look like a conventional small plane but these lightweight fixed wing microlights give you the thrill of micro lighting with the comfort of a plane.
