Description

To be eligible for entry onto our PPL Course:
CAA Rules state that you must be at least 16 years of age prior to going on your first solo flight & 17 years of age before you are eligible to sit your PPL Flight test.
Entry to our PPL Course does not require a minimum academic level but will be done on a case-by-case basis. You must however, still meet the following criteria:
Hold an Aviation Class 2 medical certificate
Meet the ‘Fit & Proper Person’ requirements of CAANZ.
Be competent in spoken English to meet NZCAA requirements.

Theory Subject Requirements:
PPL Navigation & Flight planning
PPL Air Law
PPL Meteorology
PPL Aircraft Technical Knowledge
PPL Human Factors
Flight Radio Telephony

Practical Flying Requirements:
Cross Country – Total 10 hours
Cross Country – Dual Instruction 5 hours
Cross Country – Solo 5 hours
Mountain – Total 5 hours
Mountain – Dual Instruction 3 hours
Mountain – Solo 1 hour
Flight Test – 2 hours
TOTAL FLIGHT HOURS – 52 HOURS
