1984 Pitts Special S1T For Sale In England (G-BKPZ)

A rare opportunity to purchase one of only three permit to fly Pitts Special S1Ts in the UK. This makes it particularly attractive to own & maintain having been built from a factory supplied kit, it therefore has amateur built status & is supported by the LAA meaning you can modify it & work on it yourself unlike most C of A factory built S1Ts. This has been our own aircraft for two years, maintained & hangared by ATS at Wycombe Air Park. Over £40,000 spent in the last two years. Despite being on a permit we have left the maintenance in the hands of ATS who are renowned for their aerobatic aircraft maintenance so PZ has been maintained in our ownership to C of A standards. The aircraft suffered a very minor prop strike in 2024 so it has recently benefitted from a full engine rebuilt at Gama with new, bearings, seals & all 4 cylinders have been overhauled. Compressions are perfect. Only two hours of bedding in flight has been conducted. Brand new MTV 15 variable pitch propeller. Overhauled magnetos & new bungees. Modifications include a smoke system, SkyDynamics light weight magnesium sump, 4 into 1 exhaust & cold air induction. Its putting out in the region of 220hp & certainly goes like it. Fabric & paint are in good condition, 10 years old, last done in 2014. The aircraft is stored in a warm dry hangar at ATS at Wycombe Air Park. Annual inspection completed February 2025. Trig 8.33 MHz radio.
