Regardless of whether you are new to parachuting and planning your first tandem skydive, or an experienced skydiver, Skydive Tandem is the ideal place to make your next skydive. If you live in Gauteng, we may be less than 1 hour away.
Make your 1st jump at 220 km/h Skydive Tandem Johannesburg
The ground instruction takes about 15 minutes. When it’s your turn to skydive, you & your instructor board the aircraft together for the ride to altitude. On the way up you will enjoy the view for kilometres around Witbank & the plane ride is about 20 minutes long in a Atlas Angel Aircraft 9 seater. Once at 11,000 ft AGL, you & your tandem instructor, who is attached behind you, move towards the door. You then exit the aircraft & skydive, free falling for about 35 seconds. At 5,000 ft AGL, your tandem master will deploy the parachute followed by a 6-7 minute canopy ride until you land.
A cameraman can be arranged if you would like one to accompany us on the Tandem Skydive. He will film ground footage as well as the jump itself. You will then be able to relive the experience over & over again!
Facilities
Aircraft – Skydive Tandem Johannesburg makes use of the Turbine Atlas Angel 9 seater + 1 Pilot. Our aircraft are set up with clean, comfortable interiors & are maintained to the highest standard in the business. Our planes are equipped with in-flight doors, GPS, Powered by a Walter Turbine Engine 750 HP, climbing at 1,000ft per minute.
Canteen – At our Airfield we have a large Hangar & Entertainment area with a Canteen that serves light meals & refreshments. The canteen opens early & offers breakfasts & lunches all day long.
Staff – Skydive Tandem Johannesburg has a very experienced staff members, some with over 30+ years skydiving experience. Staff members range from 500 jumps experience to 11,000+ jumps
You will receive instruction from the most active professional instructors & coaches in South Africa.
Transport – Our Driver Colin Kgasu runs his own independent Shuttle service, & has been operating with us for 8+ years. Hotel / Guesthouse/ Corporate pick up & drop off available. Enquire for quote.
