ACS Flight Training Bose HeadsetsThe latest Pilot Careers and Flight Training Seminar held on Saturday 5th March 2022 at the Holiday Inn, Glasgow Airport was a huge success for both visitors and exhibitors. Visitor numbers were up 25% from the pre pandemic event in February 2020, while the exhibition area was at capacity with flight training organisations and related services. Several companies were present including ACS Flight Training, Royal Air Force, Loganair, FlightDeck Wingman, Pathway Flight Training, Bose Aviation and Pooleys as well as guest speakers from airlines throughout the U.K. and Europe. Dublin based Simtech Aviation’s Killian Hanratty said “It’s amazing to see so many future pilots engaged in learning more about an airline career”

ACS Flight Training trade show standACS Flight Training Managing Director, Graeme Frater commented “It is inspiring to listen to the aspirations of young people as they embark on their journey towards the flight deck” ACS Flight Training, the largest academy of the airline pilot training industry in Scotland, had both qualified pilots and current students on their stands to talk first-hand about their courses, a scenario repeated at many exhibitors’ stands.

Jamie Flynn and Saorise McDavitt both received the prestigious scholarship award sponsored by Bose Aviation. Jamie commented: “I would like to thank ACS Flight Training for this fantastic opportunity which has allowed me to work towards gaining my Pilots Licence and ultimately take me that one vital step closer to achieving my dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot.”

The next Pilot Careers and Flight Training Seminar will be held at the Glasgow Airport Holiday Inn Hotel on Saturday 25th March 2023. Details will be published later this year. An event more than 3 years in the making, the first-annual Festival of Flight is a celebration of the innovative and aviation heritage as well as exhibits from non-aviation companies. It’s an excellent opportunity to see behind the scenes of the UK’s busiest General Aviation airport, all net proceeds will be donated to Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.
