We have recently been approached by Lunar Aid to assist in delivering medical aid to Eastern Poland, near the border with Ukraine, in support of the war effort. We are pledging our time and our Cirrus aircraft.
We cannot think of a more worthy cause. Whist the political situation is delicate and leaves us as a nation unable to do as much, perhaps, as we would like, this worthy initiative, put together by NHS doctors, allows us to assist on an individual level delivering much needed medical aid and supplies close to where they are needed.
May I call upon anyone who would like to take part to come and join us on this Ukraine Air lift. We are provisionally aiming for April 8th & 9th. It will be a highly rewarding flying adventure. The plan is to collect medical supplies from Southend Airport and fly them to Chelm in Eastern Poland, near the border with Ukraine. We will be overnighting at Aero Poznan – a Cirrus Training Centre and will organise hotels, evening meal and other logistics.
