Does ADS-B Affect an Aircraft’s Sellability?

ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast) helps improve flight safety and can positively affect an aircraft’s sellability. Depending on the aircraft type, in some regions it’s mandatory for aircraft to be ADS-B equipped, so it’s wise to plan the equipment you’ll need in your aircraft, for the regions you’ll be operating in during your ownership. Many buyers see ADS-B as a valuable safety feature, as it helps aircraft to maintain a safe distance from one another. This is particularly important when operating the aircraft in busy, congested airspace. If selling the aircraft to a buyer in a remote region where ADS-B isn’t mandatory, they may be less willing to pay a higher price for equipment they won’t need.
