Description

The airline pilot’s job requires precision & knowledge, but no exceptional skill or physical fitness. You will only need normal eyesight (with or without glasses) & good general health — & most importantly a strong drive & motivation to aim for the skies! If you have the motivation to become the best of the best, you are the person we are looking for!

Our professional flight instructors & state-of-the-art fleet ensure a superior training for the best aviators. From your very first training flight our programme will prepare you for the demands of the modern glass cockpit environment. The target duration typically ranges from 15 to 24 months depending on your prior qualifications & the targeted pace that will be agreed upon individually. If you start from scratch without any aviation background or knowledge, 21-24 months is a good target duration. Individual progression varies. The maximum allowed duration is 36 months.

Minimum Requirements
Age Minimum 16 years old.
Language skills Good (upper intermediate or better) English skills are required & all c&idates are tested. You should be able to use English effectively, but need not be perfect. You are almost fluent & your English is very accurate. You can deal with everyday situations in English. You can have long conversations & discussions. You have an extensive vocabulary & if you do not know a word you can find a way of describing it. CEFR level B2; IELTS score 5.5; TOEFL iBT score 80; TOEIC score 650; Cambridge FCE or better is required for international students.
Mathematics Upper secondary school basic syllabus or equivalent is recommended.
Physics Upper secondary school advanced syllabus or equivalent is recommended.
Health & Physical Condition Normal health is enough & determined by the aviation medical doctor. Eyeglasses are allowed, as long as the eyesight is normal when corrected with glasses.
Funding Before taking part on the programme you’ll have to demonstrate that you have arranged a satisfactory funding. Learn more.
Aviation Experience No previous aviation experience is needed. However, the prior experience is taken into account when determining your personal syllabus.

What The Programme Includes
Our programme includes all of the pilot education needed to start a Type Rating course for an airline, including the recently added requirement of the Advanced UPRT course. Our price includes the training services: flight lessons, instruction, study material, ground school, maps & charts, & pilot accessories. We even include a personal active noise-cancelling aviation headset for you in your Aeropole flight bag to ensure you the best possible learning environment. We will also help you with the paperwork involved with your licence application. You will need to pay third-party fees on top, such as Civil Aviation Authority’s examination & licence fees, & airport fees. (Accommodation or meals are not included.) Terms & conditions apply.

Financing Your Studies
Before applying, you should ensure sufficient funding for your studies. For instance, get a favourable decision from your bank or another form of statement of funding or loan guarantees. You are not required to take out the loan, as long as you have confirmed your eligibility to funding before applying. Employment
After the Diamond Cadet programme you will be qualified to apply for a first officer job at a European airline or you can join our Flight Instructor Course for additional training to be an instructor. Check out here for some examples of where our alumni have been employed after their graduation.

The Diamond Cadet programme offers you flexibility what comes to the training location. Aeropole has various training bases with modern facilities around Nothern Europe:
Lahti-Vesivehmaa, Finland – mainly for basic training (PPL, NF) & PIC hour building
Tampere-Pirkkala, Finland – full range of services
Helsinki-Vantaa, Finland – only for theoretical classroom instruction & simulator training
Aalborg, Denmark – full range of services
Roskilde, Denmark – full range of services
