Teaching & Learning
Successful training depends heavily on the abilities of your trainers & instructors. Our Teaching & Learning Course follows the structure of EASA Part-FCL. Your future instructors learn how to achieve outstanding results among their students by adopting state-of-the-art teaching methods.

Unless otherwise specified, the course is provided at the facilities of Horizon Swiss Flight Academy in Kloten, Switzerland. Upon request, a course can be provided as well at the customer’s location. Acceptable training rooms & infrastructure must be provided by the customer.

The Horizon Classic model is the perfect solution for pilots aiming for the airline cockpit, complete training packages are available without prior flying experience or for candidates with a PPL (A) licence. As a member of the Helvetic Airways Group, Horizon offers the Career Model. During basic training, candidates may undergo a tailored assessment, determining the eligibility of being employed on demand.

We provide theoretical training for helicopter pilots from PPL (H) to ATPL (H), additionally licence conversions from ICAO to EASA are possible.

The EASA Private Pilot Licence PPL(H) allows the holder to act as pilot in command of a helicopter in European Airspace with EASA registered helicopters. The licence is recognized across Europe & only has to be validated in non-EASA countries. A private pilot may carry passengers as long as the pilot has the appropriate training, ratings, & endorsements.

The Special Offer Courses cover all required subjects in order to convert a foreign ICAO licence to an EASA licence. As in all of our distance learning courses, the concept of “blended learning” is applied: The students learn with the most suitable written material, supported by Tele Tutors & our e-learning & information platform over the internet. Therefore the theoretical training does not require your physical presence.
