Interessengemeinschaft Ostschweizer Luftfahrt

Elmatweg 6, Postfach 230, 9445 Rebstein, Switzerland

The interest group for aviation in Eastern Switzerland – IGOL
She is committed to aviation throughout eastern Switzerland & the Alpine Rhine Valley. The existing partnerships with representatives from aviation, the population, business & politics have meant that this association is not only involved in matters relating to the St. Gallen-Altenrhein airfield, but also in all of eastern Switzerland. Under the former name «VPFA – Vereinigung Pro Flugplatz St. Gallen-Altenrhein», this association made a significant contribution to the preservation of the St.Gallen-Altenrhein airfield & saved it from closure.

The IGOL has connections to the interest groups of the state airports & the regional airports, as well as to other aviation associations, including the regional association of the Aero Club of Switzerland (AeCS), the Aero Club Ostschweiz (AeCO). IGOL participates in exhibitions, organises excursions & information events & carries out regional tasks independently & national tasks together with other aviation associations & interest groups. The publication organ is Airmail as a print medium & IGOL News in electronic form.
