Bellanca Aircraft was an aircraft manufacturer that was founded in 1927 in Minnesota, United States, however the company is now headquartered in Oklahoma. Bellanca produced the Bellanca Viking and Bellanca Super Viking, which were Single Engine Piston airplanes capable of carrying three passengers. The aircraft featured retractable undercarriage and competed with Piper’s PA28 series and Beechcraft’s Bonanza. In 1970 when Bellanca acquired the American Champion Aircraft Company, it gained access to produce other models such as the Bellanca Champion and Bellanca Decathlon. Bellanca also acquired Champion Aircraft in 1970 and started to produce the Bellanca Champion.
