Junkers Aircraft at Aero Friedrichshafen jOn Wednesday, 27 April 2022 at the Friedrichshafen General Aviation Expo it was announced that the Junkers Ju52 would be built again – as a new aircraft!

Originally manufactured in the 1930’s, this three-engine aircraft is to be rebuilt in a passenger carrying variation by Swiss Junkers Flugzeugwerke AG in Widnau on Lake Constance, owned by German entrepreneur and aviation enthusiast Dieter Morszek.

The new version of the Junkers Ju52 will be fitted with brand new V12 diesel engines produced by Red Aircraft, a German aircraft engine manufacturer. These engines are said to be more fuel efficient than the original radial engines.
