Alpi Aviation new twin engine piston aircraft launched at Aero Friedrichshafen

Owner and visionary Conrad Rusalen of Alpi Aviation based in Friulan, Italy, recently debuted the Pioneer 300 Griffon Hybrid Twin Aircraft at Friedrichshafen Aero Expo held this week.

Established over 20 years ago and producing more than a thousand aircraft, which includes the ultralight Syton AS130 helicopter, Alpi Aviation has developed the new twin hybrid engine, four seater aircraft, which is due to take to the skies by the end of the year.

The aircraft is powered by four engines of which two are endothermic piston driven, producing at least 100 horsepower each, and two electric motors, producing in excess of 75 horsepower each, connected in series and each served by its own inverter.
