Selling Your Microlight

Home » News » Aircraft For Sale News » Selling Your Microlight

When selling a microlight, it’s best to be organised and to make readily available all the information a prospective buyer might require. Gather the aircraft’s maintenance records, logbooks and other associated documentation, ensuring that any required inspections and maintenance are up to date. Conduct an inspection of the microlight to help identify any issues that require attention and address any major issues in advance of the aircraft going onto market. Ensure you’ve cleaned both the exterior and interior of the aircraft and make sure to take high-quality images of the aircraft, for your aircraft listing. Pulling the microlight out of the hangar should provide you with better light for your photos. Write a comprehensive description that includes Highlights, Airframe, Engine, Avionics, Interior, Exterior, Additional Equipment and Inspection Status. Carry-out market research on similar aircraft models to come-up with an asking price you’re happy with and make sure it’s visible on your listing – some buyers won’t contact you if you write “Price Upon Request” on your advert. If necessary, carry-out any outstanding tasks such as changing the oil filter, topping-up the oil and making sure your avionics have been updated with the latest software updates.
