We have been working hard behind the scenes with many developments from the unseen – entirely digitising the procedures of our ATO to reflect the technology of the brand we are proud to represent – to the more visible, the establishment of a second location for training with premises in West London at Wycombe Air Park.

The success of any business is down to its people, I am very proud to be working with some of the most capable people I have met. I have two important mentions this month:

Congratulations to our founder Isabel for upgrading her Training Centre Instructor qualification to a factory CSIP. We are proud to say CK Aviation now has two in house CSIPs and two training centre instructors. Instructor availability is something we are aware there is a shortage of in the UK and we are working hard to remedy this and provide Cirrus clients with the professionalism and training support they require.

A special welcome to Neil Tayler who is joining us as an Instrument Rating Instructor & TCI. Neil has a wealth of experience, over 22,000 hours in total. He is a Boeing 777 Type rating Examiner with British Airways, an experienced GA flight instructor and is a regional officer for COPA. Neil is a co-owner of an SR20 G2 Avidyne and an SR22 GTS G3 Perspective, we are extremely lucky to have Neil on board and I’m sure our clients are going to benefit enormously from his knowledge of Cirrus Aircraft and his exemplary training.

G-ISLR 2019 SR22T GTS G6

Our stunning SR22T G6 G-ISLR is proving extremely popular for Cirrus Advanced Transition courses, IR(R) and IR training. Based at Wycombe Air Park the aircraft is within 30 minutes of London. Dry hire rate £350 + VAT/hour.

Market Overview

With the cost of finance having risen along with the cost of everything from insurance, fuel, maintenance and airfield charges, aircraft ownership is a more expensive prospect than it was 12 months ago.
