Desktop valuation is the process of figuring out the value of a piece of property using little information; the “desktop” comes from the fact that most of the work is done at the desk—there is no physical inspection of the property. It’s usually done in real estate and, in our case, for aircraft. The reasons why you might want this service may vary, but just as with all our other services, we bring quality and dependability to all the clients with whom we work. ​

Every desktop valuation for aircraft that we do is based on the information you provide us with. More specifically, the information we use comes from yourself, photo evidence, and our own online research. The appraisers on our team take the information you give us and make an estimated valuation of your aircraft. Again, we do not do any physical inspection of your aircraft. We use the information that we find and that you give us to provide the best valuation of your aircraft that we can.

Our certified appraisers have 40-plus years of combined experience in the field. We also strictly follow the USPAP, which contains guidelines and standards for all appraisal services. A. These reports are typically around 35 pages long.

A. We try to make your reports as accurate as possible so will send you an Information Sheet to complete, once you have purchased the report through AvPay. The more information you’re able to share, the more accurate the report.

A. The Desktop Aircraft Valuation Report is designed to give you a valuation on your aircraft. If you are only looking for a rough guide on a price range for a specific aircraft, you may wish to order a less-detailed Aircraft Market Value Report here.

Q. How much information will I need to provide?
A. Since the Desktop Aircraft Valuation Reports are designed to give you a specific valuation, you will need to complete the Information Sheet we send you, so that we can produce an accurate report for you.

Q. How long will it take to get my report?
A. We’re typically able to send reports in 5-7 days. During busy periods this may take longer, but we’ll let you know in such cases to give you an accurate ETA on your report.

Q. Will we need to travel, to carry-out the report?
A. No, these reports are carried-out based on the information you provide.

Q. How many aircraft are included in each report?
A. Each report covers you for one aircraft.

Q. Does it matter which country the aircraft is located in?
A. No, we can provide you with reports for aircraft worldwide.

Q. Can the appraiser change the numbers on the report to meet my expectations?
A. We conform to the standards of the Unoform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practise, so each report has to be based on our own experience.

Q. How can I be sure which type of appraisal will suit my needs?
A. The Aircraft Valuation Report will provide you with a price range for your aircraft. The Desktop Valuation will provide you with a valuation of your aircraft and can be completed remotely.
