The WINX Flying Club is a community of pilots and not a club. It was founded by and for pilots who want to charter different aircraft types with American certificataion in an uncomplicated way and at reasonable prices.

Depending on the membership status, an IFR-equipped Cessna 172 can be chartered from only 149€/wet. Those who want to travel faster and more comfortably can use a high-performance aircraft, a Debonair Bonanza 33-35 with state-of-the-art Garmin IFR equipment. The necessary endorsements for rental, i.e. Complex or HP, can be obtained from our FI Club members.
With the latest addition, a Piper 28-180, we have another aircraft in our fleet, which is not only perfectly IFR-equipped, but also inexpensive to charter.
In addition, IFR training flights with flight instructors as well as the biannual inspection flights (EASA and FAA) can of course also be carried out on our aircraft.
Joint trips with the aircraft and a corresponding exchange of experience between the pilots themselves complete the “offer”.
NEW in 2021: Our new Hangar- and Office-Facilities including a Pilots Lounge will make all non-flying acitivities much more comfortable!

CHARTER

Each member pays an annual subscription. This contribution covers part of the insurance costs. In the basic version, a certain aircraft type can be chartered, in the premium membership all types can be flown. In addition, the premium tariff offers a discount on the charter prices; the 10-block-hour price automatically applies. Independent of this, additional block hours can be purchased, which also allow a higher discount on the charter prices. This way, every pilot can choose the optimal concept for his needs.
Once the pilot has been briefed on the aircraft, he can then reserve the aircraft in the club reservation portal (RESI).
The aircraft are located in Mainz (EDFZ), other “rental stations” such as EDRK (Koblenz) or EDFE (Egelsbach) can also be used depending on demand and agreement. Also for more distant locations the machines can be offered for charter by arrangement. The Piper N5554D will be one of the aircraft that will be partially stationed at several airports.

The DEBONAIR 35-C33 with the identification N6664C was acquired by WINX in October 2017. A generous avionics upgrade with Garmin GNS 530WAAS, two Garmin G5 EFIS, Garmin GMA 347 switchgear with BT, a WX-500 Stormscope and the recent installation of the Garmin SFC 500 autopilot with autotrim complete the cockpit as a modern highlight and make this aircraft the perfect platform for long flights or IFR training.

This easy to fly aircraft is used for training and as a touring aircraft. The C172 is the standard sports aircraft and also the most sold sports aircraft in the world (42.000 were build)! No other aircraft has fulfilled so many people’s dream of flying, or even the dream of owning one. Especially flight schools and charter companies trust in its safety, reliability and low maintenance costs. Therefore, such an aircraft has now found a place in our fleet.
The cabin is very spacious and offers enough space for 2-3 passengers. Our aircraft is in an exceptionally good condition, both technically and internally and externally. With two x COM/NAV (one of them a Garmin 430W), one HSI, one VOR-Indicator, ADF, two altimeters and DMI the aircraft also offers a good training platform to “higher”, i.e. IFR. The newly installed Garmin G5´s as AH and HSI is good training platform for “EFIS” too! And the panel is also a real “eye-catcher” at night thanks to modern indirect panel lighting
