Introducing John Hamshare, Event Manager for AeroExpo & RotorTech

Following 30 years in the civil aviation business, John Hamshare is the new Event Manager in charge of coordinating the development & organisation of AeroExpo & RotorTech.

I was very happy to be invited to join the team at AvBuyer & to take on the many & varied challenges of organising such well-established & well-respected events as AeroExpo & RotorTech. There is a lot to learn, & I am thoroughly enjoying the experience.

This year we are holding the events at a new venue, Cotswold Airport, & recently I was privileged to visit the airport & to meet the airport management team & some of my event colleagues face-to-face for the first time.

I also met some of the experienced & capable senior aircraft marshallers, of the North Weald Marshalling Team, who had many an interesting tale to tell from their extensive repertoire of event marshalling.

We met in the very comfortable surroundings of the AV8 restaurant followed by a tour of the event site, including the hangars & the recently converted Boeing 747.

The airport management team were extremely welcoming & helpful. They were also very knowledgeable, & I know that with their support we will be able to provide an excellent experience for all our visitors, whether they arrive by car or aircraft.

The event team is working incredibly hard to ensure that our visitors & exhibitors have a great time at the event, & I look forward to perhaps meeting you there.
