Different types of aircraft have varying training requirements, and the rules and regulations for flight training can vary between countries.

Fixed-Wing Aircraft (General Aviation)
Private Pilot License (PPL) is a basic license that allows pilots to fly single-engine, non-commercial aircraft for personal use.
Commercial Pilot License (CPL) enables pilots to fly aircraft for compensation or hire. It involves additional training and requirements beyond the PPL.

Instrument Rating (IR) allows pilots to fly in instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) using cockpit instruments for navigation and control.
Multi-Engine Rating allows pilots to operate multi-engine aircraft, which typically require additional training and skills compared to single-engine aircraft.

Helicopters
Private Helicopter Pilot License (PPL-H) permits pilots to fly helicopters for personal use and non-commercial purposes.
Commercial Helicopter Pilot License (CPL-H) allows pilots to fly helicopters for compensation or hire.
Instrument Rating (IR) similar to that of the fixed-wing aircraft, an IR for helicopters allows pilots to fly in IMC using cockpit instruments.

Microlights
Microlight Pilot License (MPL) covers the operation of microlight aircraft, which are lightweight, single or two-seat aircraft with specific weight and performance limitations.
Microlight license requirements can vary between countries, with specific regulations defining the training and operational limitations for microlight pilots.

Gliders
Glider Pilot License (GPL) focuses on glider operations, teaching pilots to fly unpowered aircraft and utilize rising air currents for sustained flight. Glider pilot training typically includes theoretical knowledge, practical flight training, and assessments of specific gliding skills.

Gyrocopters
Gyrocopter Pilot License (GPL) license covers the operation of gyrocopters, which are rotary-wing aircraft with an unpowered rotor and a powered propeller. Gyrocopters require specific training and operational knowledge.

It’s important to note that the specific requirements, training programs, and licensing structures can vary between countries. Aviation authorities and regulatory bodies in each country establish the rules and regulations for flight training, including the minimum requirements for different license types. Therefore, it’s crucial to consult the local aviation authority or a reputable flight training organization in the respective country to obtain accurate and up-to-date information on flight training requirements and regulations.
