On Wednesday, 15 June, the Chamber of Commerce of North Primorska region in Nova Gorica presented awards to the best innovators in the region. 5 gold, 11 silver & 3 bronze awards were presented.
One of the recipients of a gold award is also the team of Pipistrel Vertical Solutions d.o.o. with its innovation, the Virus SW 128 aircraft.
Virus SW 128, under the trade name “Velis Electro”, is the first electric aircraft in the world to receive a type certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Designed primarily for pilot training, the two-seater is a breakthrough in terms of technological innovation & cost-effectiveness. With its quiet operation & without the production of exhaust gases, it can bring flying closer to urban areas without negatively affecting the life within the community. It is equipped with Pipistrel’s certified electric motor E-811-268MVLC & Pipistrel’s three-bladed composite propeller P-812-164-F3A.
The four regional innovations that won a gold award, have also entered the competition for the highest awards at the national level, which will be presented on Innovation Day in Ljubljana on 20 September.

On Wednesday, 15 June, the Chamber of Commerce of North Primorska region in Nova Gorica presented awards to the best innovators in the region. 5 gold, 11 silver & 3 bronze awards were presented.
