Wayward Spirit March 2022 Update

11th March 2022

It has been a busy start to March with a lot of miles.  My poor old Jeep is suffering a failed wheel bearing though so that has complicated next week & did see me drive all the way down into Argyll in a tiny Citroen C1!  On Monday I may be due in Wick & I have to h& the Citroen back over the weekend so this is going to be an “interesting” conundrum to solve!

I have had some varied work in though shooting holiday lets & house sales both urban & rural, although not many of the days have been hugely profitable due to the geographical distribution of the jobs.  It has been nice to be out & about though.

The plans for the huts are coming on & I think we are almost ready to submit now, which is hugely exciting!  We are also investigating “greenifying” our home, partially because we ran out of oil &, hence, we ran out of heat this week & partially as it is something I have always said we would do.  There are a few incentives around for different things at the moment so hopefully we will come up with a good scheme involving solar, heat pumps, controls & batteries over the next week with a view to starting works later in the summer.  I think we will also be popping a wood stove in somewhere upstairs (a teeny one) whilst we are at it so that even if we are out of power we can still get at least one part of the house nice & warm!

That is about it for the moment, I will hopefully have more news soon as things really start to ramp up!
