When Should you Part-Out an Aircraft?

Parting-out an aircraft involves dismantling it for the sale of individual components. If the aircraft is old, has a high total time or requires extensive and costly repairs, selling it as a whole may not yield a reasonable sale price. Carry-out research to see if any of your aircraft’s components (such as engines and avionics) are in high demand. If the value of these components exceeds the value of the aircraft, it may make sense to part-out your aircraft.
