Our goal is to be a local reference point for sports, educational, tourism & promotional activities in the various sectors of flight.

Aero Club Ancona is a Sports Association that pursues, within the framework of sports, educational, tourism & promotional activities related to the flight sector, the formation of an aeronautical awareness of the youth.

Aero Club Ancona is part of the Aero Club of Italy. The members of the Aero Club are pilots, model airplanes, paratroopers & simple enthusiasts of the activities of the flight sector. The school trains safe & competent pilots, providing specialized training: this is why the latest generation aircraft are used (with Garmin 430 & 1000 avionics), which allow students to be trained at the highest level.

70 Years of History

Over 70 years of history of general aviation & motor flight school in the Marche region

The Aero Club “E.Fogola” of Ancona, was born before the Second World War, & was legally reconstituted on December 8, 1959, since the old documents had also been lost due to the war events. It is a legally recognized non-profit organization, which has as its social objective the promotion of sports tourism related to motorized flying & flying in all its forms, in addition to didactic activity.

The aero club, non-profit, with the contribution of members who cannot & do not want to be paid by statute, manages an important flying school that over the years has “given wings” to many pilots, many they have distinguished themselves in the military & civil fields, others who have remained simple enthusiasts for years, who maintain their passion for flying, transferring their experiences to the youngest from year to year.

Structure

Marche Airport – LIPY

The Ancona aero club is regulated by a statute that reflects the standard statute of the aeroclubs federated to the Aero Club of Italy, the central body of all national aero clubs. It operates at the Marche Airport, (LIPY) an international airport open to commercial traffic, equipped with all the infrastructures of large airports, with an asphalted runway almost 3000 meters long, which allows the take-off & landing procedures of large airports to be used. , with procedures & radio communications with the same “control tower” & approach service used by airliners. This allows realistic training, with all the problems & prerogatives of complex air traffic management as in an international airport. In addition, the asphalt track allows for continuity of training.
