Services

Gliding Courses
Gliding can be an enormously pleasurable pastime & everyone needs to start somewhere. Whether you just want to experience the relaxing sensation of unpowered flight while letting someone else take care of the glider, or whether you’d like to train to become a skilled pilot, Norfolk Gliding Club can help. The club has a fleet of two 2-seaters & 2 single seaters which are available for members’ use. Talk to us about training, licence extensions, examinations for gliding & how we might help kick start or rejuvenate your flying ambitions!

Junior Gliding
Norfolk Gliding Club are proud to be one of the designated Junior Gliding Centres in The UK. Subject to completing the required training, you can fly a glider solo at age 14. We recognise that all young people can benefit from support in gliding & so we have a fairly relaxed definition of ‘Junior’ – Junior gliding benefits & support apply to anyone up to 25 years old.

Glideability
Through the support & funding of various organizations, we have adapted a dual-control training glider for use by individuals with no lower limb control. While fewer than 10% of participants require hand controls, it’s important to recognize that flying a glider is possible for many individuals with disabilities. If you have good arm mobility & can drive a car, you may be able to fly a glider!

Group Bookings
Group Bookings can be made for 10 or more people for weekdays or evenings & are available throughout the summer (April to September). Launch by either winch or aerotow in a two seater training glider with a BGA qualified instructor & experience the exhilaration of silent flight. We can also provide catering if you’d like to fill up after your flight. To find out more or to organise a group flying event, please contact us with your requirements.
