Polar Helicopters is an approved CAA Flight Training Organisation, based at Manston Airport in Kent.

Polar Helicopters have excellent facilities, a dedicated & experienced team of qualified instructors, & our own in-house examiner. The objective of Polar Helicopters is to provide an exceptional standard of Pilot training in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere – at genuinely competitive rates.

We are open seven days a week & offer Trial Lesson Gift Vouchers, Training for both Private & Commercial Pilot’s Licences, & Type Rating Training. Each training course is personally tailored, taking into account different needs, time constraints & what each individual wants to achieve from the course. We also offer Self Fly Hire for suitably qualified pilots & if you are looking for a gift for someone who loves helicopters, we may also be able to assist! With a wide range of helicopter related gifts available.

PPL Training & Trial Lessons – Once completed, the PPL will enable you to fly family & friends to airfields & private sites all over the country or indeed further afield across the channel.

Further Training – Commercial Licence, Night Rating, Type Rating & Proficiency Check.

Charter Flights & Trips – Sightseeing Tours, Heli-Dining, Wedding Charters, Private Charters & Team Building Events.

Self Fly Hire – R22, R44 & B206 available for rent.

Visiting Aircraft – Refreshments, Museums and Transport To Hotel.

Vouchers & Gifts – A Trial Flight Lesson, A Heli-Dining Experience, A Sightseeing Trip or a ‘Cash Voucher’. We stock a range of helicopter-related gifts which are also a perfect accompaniment for a Trial Flight Gift Voucher.

Hangarage – We can offer either short or long term hangarage for helicopters. This will give access to the hangar & all of the facilities at Polar Helicopters.

Meeting Rooms – We offer a purpose built conference room, with impressive views across the airport.
