Portmerion, the picturesque Italianate village made famous by the Prisoner TV series, looks idyllic as it nestles in woodland off the Dwyryd estuary, & watch out for the Dragons at Castle Dinas Emrys! The two Dragons were captured in a cauldron of beer & buried beneath the castle. Capel Curig & The Ugly House are other landmarks of this tour, but of course it is Mount Snowdon itself at 1085m & the highest in Wales, that is the highlight. Sir Edmund Hilary trained here before climbing Everest, & legend has it that a giant killed by Arthur is buried on its summit. The summit isn’t always clear of cloud of course, but the views of Snowdonia National Park are always magical.

From Capel Curig you will fly south, passing over the castle at Dolwyddelan, built in the 13th century by Llewellyn the Great. The breathtaking range of scenery continues to unfold beneath you as you pass by Blaenau Ffestiniog, before heading back to Llanbedr & great view of Shell Isl&, a favourite holiday destination for many families.
