We Elevate Lives: What That Really Means at Tern Jet Sales
By Erin Hauser on May 8, 2026
At Tern Jet Sales, one of our core values is simple, but it carries real weight: We elevate lives.
At first glance, that may sound like something tied directly to what we do for our clients. Helping buyers and sellers navigate complex aircraft transactions and delivering outcomes that improve efficiency, flexibility, and quality of life through aviation.
But that is only part of the story.
To us, elevating lives is not limited to the deals we close. It is reflected in the people behind them, the way they show up, and how they choose to use their skills beyond the workplace.
Elevation Beyond the Transaction
Within our team, each individual takes that value seriously in every aspect of their lives. One of those individuals is Omar Hatab, Market Analyst at Tern Jet Sales.
Omar is currently working toward his Airline Transport Pilot’s license. Like many in aviation, building flight hours is a necessary step along the journey. But for Omar, it is also an opportunity to do something more meaningful.
Through Pilots N Paws, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, he volunteers his time in the air to help transport rescue animals to safety. The organization connects volunteer pilots with shelters and rescue groups, creating a network where aviation becomes a lifeline for animals in need. Through its discussion board, volunteers coordinate flights, arrange foster care, and ultimately help place animals into permanent homes.
“The program coordinates rescue flights for dogs that are close to their final days in shelters across the country,” Omar explains. “Once adopters are found, we arrange a relay of pilots to transport the dogs to their new homes.”
“Each leg of the journey is flown by a different pilot. For example, I once picked up a dog that had been flown from Kentucky to Nebraska, and I flew that leg from Nebraska to Colorado. From there, another pilot continued the trip to Utah. It’s a great system where we all work together, coordinating schedules, building flight hours, and most importantly, giving these dogs a second chance at life in a new home.”
Currently, Omar holds a Commercial Pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings and is working toward reaching ATP minimums. He has approximately 133 flight hours remaining to reach the 1,500-hour requirement.

A Mission That Changes Lives
Omar has now completed numerous rescue missions, each one reinforcing the impact aviation can have beyond the cockpit.
On one of his most recent missions, he took off not just with a flight plan but with a purpose—this time transporting 10 Bernese Mountain Dog puppies to safety.
Waiting at a small regional airport were the puppies, each one depending on a coordinated effort to reach a better outcome.
The flight itself was routine from an aviation standpoint. Preflight checks, weather considerations, route planning. But the mission was anything but ordinary. At the other end of that journey, safe environments and new beginnings awaited each of them.
What could have been a difficult outcome became an opportunity.
That is the power of combining aviation with purpose.

What “We Elevate Lives” Really Means
Stories like this are a reminder that aviation is not just about getting from point A to point B. It is about what happens because of that movement.
At Tern Jet Sales, elevating lives means:
Helping clients make informed, confident decisions that improve how they live and operate, supporting team members who pursue growth, purpose, and impact both inside and outside the business, and contributing to the broader community in ways that extend beyond our core services.
It is a mindset that shows up in the details. In how we approach transactions. In how we build relationships. And in how our team chooses to use their time, skills, and passion.
Purpose-Driven Aviation
Aviation is a powerful tool. It connects people, creates opportunity, and, in moments like these, saves lives.
Whether we are advising on an aircraft acquisition or one of our team members is flying a rescue mission, the principle is the same. The work we do should matter. It should have a positive impact. It should elevate lives.
At Tern Jet Sales, that is not just a statement. It is how we operate every day.
