Booker Gliding Club New Hangar 32nd November

There was a fantastic turn out of club members today to put the covers on the hangar at Abingdon. We got most of it done, there is still work to be done tomorrow while the weather is calm.

We hope to be able to fly soon but we are in the hands of the MAA, as Abingdon is an Army ‘training area’.

Booker Gliding Club New Hangar 4A reminder of why we are doing this – we are being prevented from flying at Wycombe Air Park, our home of 70 years, by the airfield manager who is in a commercial dispute (nothing to do with us) with the airfield owner, Bucks Council. We spent the summer at Chiltern Park which has now closed because the lease ended. It’s not that easy relocating a gliding club but we are determined to keep Booker alive until we can return home.
