Well we have certainly taken off this last couple of weeks with a mix of commercial work, some stock work & a wedding.
I have travelled north to Durness to shoot an absolutely fantastic old manse house & south to Newark-on-Trent to shoot a wedding with additional adventures down towards Bristol. So things are looking good!
The work has all involved a little bit of everything from traditional DSLR shooting to use of 360 cameras & drones to approach scenes & tasks from different & unique perspectives. It has been fun!
Monday saw me out to photograph this old lady – The Old Manse, Balnakeil, Durness. Situated right at the very top of Scotland with the Atlantic wind blowing off the ocean just behind the house it has taken a battering over the centuries. It was a fascinating old place though with layer upon layer of history recorded and hidden within its crumbling interior.
Now I am not saying it is haunted, but my connection to the 360 camera kept disappearing and needed to be re-established multiple times in the house and it fell over a few times too, the final fall smashed it’s lens just after the last shot was taken :-D
Probably the most interesting day in my fledgling real estate photography gig!
Wearing a slightly different hat for the day I switched from landscape and property photography to wedding photographer in order to record a special day for two very lovely people!
