We at Aeropole are passionate about providing you with the best customer service, be it excellent flight training, maintenance/repair service or selling outstanding aircraft. As a school our aim is to be the number one flight school in Europe in terms of quality and safety. Our promise to you is to provide superior quality in customer service, training, equipment and personnel.

We are aviation and business professionals with complementing backgrounds: airline and charter pilots, career instructors, aircraft engineers, business managers, and entrepreneurs. We were frustrated with the lack of a flight school truly interested in their students’ learning and in customer service, so we founded one. We might not be the cheapest flight school around, but we certainly aspire to be the best. Along the years we have developed from a flight school into a full service house with maintenance and aircraft sales.

Our team is here for you. Seasoned aviators, experts in their profession and passionate about teaching. Our girls and guys, women and men really know what flying is about. Professional pilots with thousands of flying hours under their belts, our instructors are teaching and safety experts. Each one of us shares a love for flying and teaching. For us, good is just simply not enough. We want to walk together with you on your way to get your wings. Our mechanics share the same mindset, and from the beginning we have invested in top-notch facilities and proper tooling and skills. So who better to know the features and advantages of the aircraft we sell than us, who use and maintain them.

Aeropole was founded in 2010 by two aviation professionals, Mikko Riepula and Tuukka Takala. The two decided that what was on offer for aspiring pilots was simply not good enough. Where training was good there were lackings in customer service. Where service was good, flying and teaching was unprofessional. Aeropole was engineered to provide premium service combined with industry-leading training quality. Aeropole is not just any old flight school, it is nothing less than the best place to become a pilot.

Professional Pilot Training
The Aeropole Diamond Cadet ab initio ATPL programme is a full training package with everything you need and is tailored to suit you as an individual learner. The training will be tailored to your availability, personal skills, knowledge and experience. We even allow working while studying, to a limited degree. Our professional pilot training is of premium quality with instruction given by experienced professional instructors on modern glass-cockpit Diamond aircraft.

Our professional flight instructors and state-of-the-art fleet ensure a superior training for the best aviators. From your very first training flight our programme will prepare you for the demands of the modern glass cockpit environment. The target duration typically ranges from 15 to 24 months depending on your prior qualifications and the targeted pace that will be agreed upon individually. If you start from scratch without any aviation background or knowledge, 21-24 months is a good target duration. Individual progression varies. The maximum allowed duration is 36 months.

Private Pilot School
The Private Pilot Licence for Aeroplanes is your aircraft driver’s licence. Typically referred to as the PPL or PPL(A), it is the first step in every professional pilot’s path to the skies. It is also the first module in our professional airline pilot course. The private pilot licence is the course that any leisure pilot or someone flying their own business trips needs. It is your licence to fly for fun. No special skills, knowledge or physical fitness are required to become a private pilot—the medical requirements are similar to those for getting a driver’s licence.

We will teach you from the very basics to the final skill test, both in theoretical knowledge and practical flight training. We train all our customers to the same standards, whether their final goal is professional or leisure flying. Your first licence will allow you to fly single-engine aircraft in fair weather according to visual flight rules (VFR)—also at night if you choose to do the short Night Flying (NF) add-on—to take on passengers, and to fly abroad.

If you need tailored ground or flight instruction, whether for licence conversion, refresher training or in order to fly a new type of aircraft, just contact us and we’ll arrange it. We have experienced instructors available for almost any need. We will give you a personalised quote according to your needs. And of course, if you just need to get an aircraft for your leisure or work trips, we can get you checked out on one that you can then rent on an hourly basis. In the process we will give you differences training as is formally required for e.g. retractable gear, glass cockpit or single-lever power control as well as for different aircraft types: Diamond, Cirrus, Piper, Cessna, Beechcraft and more. With years of experience in the technical and business know-how of buying and owning aircraft, Aeropole is your trusted partner in aircraft acquisitions and management.

We are the appointed distributor for new Diamond aircraft in Sweden, Denmark and Finland and can also help you find yourself a used aircraft. Your choice of aircraft will be handed over ready to fly. In Denmark and Finland we also provide interesting cost-saving solutions for clients interested in sharing their Diamond aircraft with Aeropole.

When you need to get a plane easily, keys in hand, our tailored aircraft purchasing service Aeropole Executive is for you. We can also provide a turnkey solution for searching, selecting, and purchasing (and in Finland also for maintaining) the aircraft of your preference from the second-hand market.

You can rent most of our aircraft by the hour. We have a large fleet of meticulously kept Diamond Aircraft. Rental is subject to client holding a valid EASA pilot licence and to a familiarisation / differences check-out with our instructor. Terms and conditions apply.

Our rental prices include fuel and insurance, but not landing fees (except in specific cases, where we can buy a yearly card as in Aalborg / Sindal). Our aircraft are fully insured, so we don’t require any renter’s insurance. For leisure pilots, we can provide ideas for flying trips in the Nordic and Baltic regions and instructions for winter flying. We do fly all year around.

Do you want an aircraft but are not prepared to commit to buying an aeroplane right now? We provide short- and long-term leasing solutions for our clients, especially on Diamonds and other comparable aircraft.

Aircraft Maintenance
At Aeropole Aircraft Maintenance we give the same attention to the plane as we do to you in flight training. No compromise. Your aircraft is in safe hands. But unlike so many, we also care for you as our customer and not only for your aircraft.

Aeropole Aircraft Maintenance provides first-class aircraft maintenance and airworthiness services at Lahti-Vesivehmaa (EFLA)—and very soon also at the Tampere-Pirkkala (EFTP/TMP) airport. Our mission is to provide the best quality in aviation maintenance for general aviation aircraft in Northern Europe. We are the only “triple-accredited” Diamond service centre in Finland (Diamond Service Centre, Austro Engine Service Centre, and Continental Diesel Service Centre) and provide also aircraft purchasing and management services.

Why bring your Diamond to an authorised service centre? Isn’t it more expensive than the corner shop? Well, as we specialise in Diamonds, we have the expertise and can perform the work with better quality in less time than those who do a little bit of everything. It also means that we have a larger inventory of spare parts, which, together with our direct access to manufacturer, can save days or weeks as we don’t need to wait for delivery of every little item. We also have a fair bit of Diamond-, Austro- and Garmin-specific equipment (tools, measurement devices) that others simply don’t have, and get better volume discounts from Diamond than the average corner shop. So, in the end, to get the desired and proper result, it should work out cheaper for the client. We can even propose fixed prices for the most common (e.g. 100-hour) maintenance tasks of fairly new aircraft to give you a piece of mind.

And of course we’re happy to serve the owners of various other brands: Cirrus, Cessna, Piper, Vulcanair, Maule, Tecnam etc. Even if we are specialising in maintenance and repair of technically advanced aircraft (Diamond and Cirrus, typically with Garmin avionics) we obviously offer our services to owners of any make of aircraft.
