The CFI course is designed to take a commercial pilot certificate holder through the completion of the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) rating. A CFI certificate is required to teach their pilot certificate applicants, conduct flight reviews, aircraft proficiency, or insurance checkouts.

Description

The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Course Includes:
• 30 Hours of Ground Instruction w/ a CFI
• 10 Hours Flight Time

Requirements:
• Be able to read, speak, write & understand the English language
• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold a commercial or ATP certificate
• Hold at least a current third-class FAA medical certificate
• Receive & log ground training from an authorized instructor
• Pass the required knowledge tests
• Accumulate appropriate flight experience & ground instruction, a total of 250 hours
• Complete a practical (flight) test, which will be given as a final exam by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner
(DPE)

Please note ground training will occur before & after every flight.
Length of training course will be in accordance with student’s availability, skills, & weather conditions.
Normal Course length takes 3 months.
